Every time I watch Emmerdale I get frustration, ( no not because of the production line in the factory).
The actor Richard Thorpe who plays Alan Turner,
I swear he is the advert actor who used to advertise Robinsons ( i think) bottled Drinks, posible when wimbledon tennis was on the telly. I can see him now standing next to a tennis umpires chair with the bottles and cups lined up.
This was about 40 years ago.
Everyone thinks I am nuts.  .
But have you any idea how frustrating it is having his Mush in my mind when everyone else sees pretty girls.

Hi sterry, the actor you are thinking off is Hugh Manning, who played The Rev. Donald Hinton. I remember this advert
because he always appeared dressed as a butler, holding a tray with a glass jug of Robinsons' juice and an empty glass on it, which he filled up when told; 'I'm thirsty', to which he replied; 'I'm Robinsons'. I think Dan Maskell also did a voice-over for the commercial. Hope this clears up the mystery.
