I've been searching the usual advert pages to see if I could find the early 1970s Cadbury's advert
that had some group of session musicians singing a jingle that went something like this.
In the Scintillating something something.
Something Seventies
Isn't it nice to Know.
That there's always Cadbury's Dairy Milk
One of today's Great Tastes.
mmm mm

It seems to be lost without trace. Nothing on You Tube as they all seem to be about the Milk Tray stealth agent with enough wealth to fly in by helicopter or gunboat to some wild location and so mean he could only leave a box of Milk Tray!! And then of course when the decade was over, adverts got a bit more clever and those 1970s ones were largely forgotten.

Anyone know of that old advert for Dairy Milk being posted anywhere in archive sites?

Nope, sorry been there, done that. All they have is one irritating ad by Cilla Black for Cadbury's Dairy Milk.
Back to the drawing board!
Thanks for trying.

Yes I knew someone would remember it.
I think though your first line has filled in my gaps so thank you for that
Scintillating Supersonic High Rise Seventies

But then your third line doesn't quite scan as "there's still Cadbury's chocolate"
doesn't rhythm quite like There's always Cadbury's Dairy Milk

I just wish I knew where I could find a copy of the advert.
It's not urgently important but it does seem odd that all the other stuff
Cadbury's did is up there on You Tube but that one seems to have missed out.
Maybe nobody recorded it. After all we none of us had VCRs back in the 1970s
So I'm mystified as to where these advert re-run copies come from !

Thanks for your help.

I've been looking for the same advert! It reminds me of that "eyepoppin thirstquenching..." Pepsi advert which came out around the same time - both had a long list of words, printed on screen as they were sung. If I remember right (and it's been nearly 40 years!) this one was accompanied by images of high rise buildings, a jet plane (possibly Concorde), and I think some spinning computer reels.

In the supersonic? electronic? something supersonic seventies
Isn't it nice to know
That there's still the original wholesome? taste of
Cadbury's Da-i-ry Milk
(Talky-singy bit - "Milk chocolate..." )

I can remember "One of today's great tastes" being sung to the same tune as "Cadbury's Da-i-ry Milk" in the supersonic seventies advert, but it might have been a later advert.

I'd love to find it.

I think the first line ended with 'slot-machine seventies'. Does this ring a bell with anyone else?

Hi, I too have been looking for this for ages. I wrote to Cadbury's who confirmed they do have a copy of it on tape. They were willing to transcribe it to a dvd/cd for a fee of a few pounds. I didn't take them up and am still awaiting further news of it to appear!....

I found it!!!

Still can't make out all of the first line though!!

Thanks to the clever girls at Cadbury for digging it up!
