There is a advert which has a xylophone solo.

Does anyone know the title of the music or what advert it came from?

Thanks for any input.

Hopefully this si the music you are after "Leftbank 2" by The Noveltones

The latest advert to use this music that originates from the Tony Hart programme 'Vision On' is for 'Essential Waitrose' - Jun 2009

Also used by 'Picture It Loans'

Some-one is bound to say that it is a 'Vibraphone' which is basically the same sort of instrument but mounted on a permanent stand.

Hi Kwijjmott

I've just listened to the sound track, unfortunately it's not the soundtrack I'm after.

The xylophone soundtrack I'm after is a haunting piece of music.

I'm sorry i cant be more specific, but thanks very much for your input, much appreciated.

Thanks for letting me know. I will see if I can find another advert. Can I ask if this a new ad or is it from a while ago?

kwillmott (spelt your name right this time lol).

I'm not sure if it's new, the last time i saw it was about two weeks ago, but then, and only after it had passed did i realise that was the advert i had been waiting for, so never took notice of the product.

I'm wondering if i'm looking at the right instrument (xylophone), because there is another instrument that sounds similar. A glockenspiel.

If this'll help, the notes are quite base and as i said before, haunting.

I think I have found the advert.
Is it for the Daily Mail? They are using an advert with an instrumental (xylophone/glockenspiel) of Buddy Holly - Everyday. It is for Money Off vouchers at Tesco with the Daily Mail.

I heard it on one of my tv recordings and thought that sounds like it. I knew the Daily Mail used the Buddy Holly song so it was easy really. Having it on video I was able to stop it and note what it was for then looked it up on Telly Ads.
